Fixed stars:
Alpha Cygnus - DENEB

On February 24, the Sun passes the connection with the main star of the constellation Cygnus - Deneb. This bright star is also included in the elite group of 20 brightest stars in the sky and is a very happy celestial symbol. Everyone who was born in the region of dates, February 24, August 28, May 26, November 27, June 26, October 28, can experience a strong influence of the Deneb star.

Deneb, as the main star of the Swan, vividly reflects the main concept and washed away the Swan symbol. Firstly, the Swan has always been considered a beautiful regal bird, symbolizing a high position (high flight), beauty, grace, delicate refined taste, charm, idealism and patronage of the powerful. And yet, the Swan has always been a symbol of a distant (often joint) road (long-distance flight) or a corresponding separation. In world mythology, we can see several stories where the image of the Swan was used by the supreme deities in order to seduce and subsequently conceive. So Krishna turned into the Swan Knight, and from his union with the “Lady” the World Egg appeared. In the Greek modernization of this story, Zeus, turning into a swan, seduced Leda. From this union were born Apollo, Castor and Pollux. The swan is first of all a symbol of BEAUTY, GRACE and PURITY! Beauty can be manifested in everything - in appearance, in communication, in creativity, in activity, in combat, and so on, depending on which planets will interact with the stars of Cygnus .... In addition, the Swan, as a transcendent bird symbol, is also a symbol of power. But this power is spiritual - the power of shamans, priests and ideologists. And finally, the Swan is a symbol of the realization of a Dream - a fairy tale brought to life.

I think that the epigones of Deneb in our system should be considered Venus, Jupiter and Uranus. Deneb bestows great luck on creative people with good taste, those who know how to believe in a brighter future and dream of the most beautiful.

Now Deneb is projected onto the ecliptic at -5°25" Psc.

All those who, in the 6th degree of Pisces, have important points of the horoscope (luminaries or corners of the chart) can count on the favor of this beautiful star.

Here is a reference about this star from various sources:

According to the European tradition, coming from Ptolemy, Deneb has the qualities of Venus and Mercury.

Devor indicates that this star gives a quick, but superficial mind, ingenuity.

Kefer also notes that Deneb affects primarily the human intellect; in addition, he believes that under Deneb, glory and honor are possible in the corner houses, although in general the influence of this star is very problematic.

Rigor points out that Deneb gives a living mind, certain psychic abilities. A person who has this star manifested in his horoscope is an idealist, very smart, attractive.

On the border of the II house or in conjunction with the planets in this house, or with its ruler - happiness in flights, travels, long trips. It happens to pilots. With Mars - good luck in all new brilliant undertakings, with Venus - charm, charm, success with the opposite sex.

Ebertin, Hoffman. fixed stars

The big star is the "tail of the Cygnus". In its action it corresponds to the combination of Mercury and Venus and therefore is good for artistic and scientific activity and profitable and profitable. In support of what has been said, let us turn to the maps of famous artists, artists, writers, for whom art classes brought considerable income - both from artistic activity itself and from the sale of its products, say, from record sales of published works.

The writer Jadwiga Kurtz-Machler was a huge success with readers: her books were published in 27 million copies. And although she cannot be called a literary figure in the full sense, her works, although they were called "sobbing trash", "cheap", "waste slobber", were still in demand. In her catalytic chart, Deneb was in conjunction with Mercury, and when Jupiter, in directions measured by the arc of the progressive Sun, passed through Mercury and this star, her first success came to her.

Some of the popular author Erich Kastner's books have sold hundreds of thousands of copies. In general, the income from the sale of all his books amounted to millions. In his natal chart, the Sun is in conjunction with Deneb at the midpoint of Mercury/Uranus and Venus/Mars.

Books by the Swedish writer Selma Lagerlöf and the Swiss Hermann Hesse were in great demand. Both writers have Northern lunar node at the moment of birth he was in conjunction with Deneb, which also gave many direct contacts with readers.

The popular film actor Hans Sohiker had a star on the MC.

Heinrich Schliemann achieved amazing success, albeit in a completely different area. Despite many difficulties, in a short time he became a successful merchant, and as an archaeologist, he became famous by excavating the legendary Troy in Greece. In his radix, Venus was in conjunction with Deneb.

Other examples: conjunction with the Ascendant - the modern astrological author and publisher Alexander Bethor, founder and publisher of the first German magazine "Zodiac". Conjunction with the Moon - by the Italian painter Leonardo da Vinci.

In the head of the constellation Cygnus there is another bright double (Topaz-yellow and sapphire-white) star, which is called Albireo

It is projected onto the 2nd degree of Aquarius (1 ° 20 ") and is most active in the region of January 20-21, and the fate of those who were born during this period, and who had important points on the map in the 2nd Aquarius. It is very close there a powerful Altair is projected (1 ° 52 "Aquarius) - Alpha Eagle, and can interrupt the influence, therefore the orbs must be observed very rigid. Even here we see the confrontation between the Eagle and the Swan.

And another very important addition to the AKG. Deneb may have a particularly important influence for those cities. which are in the range of 45-46 parallel north latitude) The exact declination of Deneb is 45 ° 18 "north of the equator.

For example, such cities as Krasnodar, Venice, Verona, Milan, Montreal, Ottawa, Portland (USA Oregon) Harbin.

Its physical characteristics are impressive: in particular, in terms of luminosity, Deneb is probably the brightest star within a radius of several thousand light-years from the Sun.

In summer and autumn, the sky of the northern hemisphere of the Earth is dominated by Big Summer Triangle, an asterism formed by three bright stars. Vega, Altair and Deneb are both similar and different at the same time. All three stars are hot white stars of spectral class A, all three surpass the Sun in size and mass and radiate much more energy than our star. By cosmic standards, these stars are very young, their age is measured in millions of years. This is where the similarity (it must be said, superficial) ends. A closer look will immediately note a lot of differences in the characteristics of these stars, and above all, their different evolutionary status.

Great Summer Triangle and three bright stars, its components are Vega, Deneb and Altair. Picture: Stellarium

We have already met Vega, the brightest star of the triangle in the article 10 facts about Vega. Like our Sun, Vega is a main-sequence star, in the depths of which nuclear reactions of the conversion of hydrogen into helium take place. The vast majority of the stars of the Galaxy are located on the main sequence - here they spend almost their entire lives.

Deneb is interesting because it belongs to a rare class blue supergiant stars. It has already exhausted the reserves of hydrogen in the core and has left the main sequence. The outer layers of the star have swelled considerably, and although they still remain hot, the last hour of Deneb is not far off - death in the crucible of a supernova. Let's see what interesting astronomers have managed to unearth about this star.

Deneb - Alpha Cygnus

Deneb or Alpha Cygnus- the main star of the constellation Cygnus. In the sky, Deneb marks the upper left corner of the summer triangle and is also part of another asterism known as the Northern Cross. This cross, consisting of 5 stars, is a distinctive feature of the constellation Cygnus; bright Deneb marks its peak. The ancient Greeks saw in this constellation the legendary Cygnus, in the image of which the powerful god Zeus (Jupiter) descended to Earth, but the Arabs saw a chicken in the constellation Cygnus. And all the names of the bright stars of the constellation are associated with body parts of a chicken!

Deneb is the brightest star in the conspicuous constellation Cygnus. The constellation outwardly really resembles a flying bird with outstretched wings. The Arabs, however, saw in this star pattern not a swan, but a chicken. Picture: Stellarium

The name Deneb comes from the Arabic "deneb ed-dazha zheh" - "tail of the chicken." "Deneb" simply means "tail", so it's not surprising that there are a few other stars with that name in the sky. True, a clarifying prefix is always attributed to them: Deneb Algedi or Deneb Kaitos. The star Deneb also has an alternative name - Aridif (from the Arabic "al Ridf" - "bright"), but at present it is practically not used.

Deneb is a bright star, its brightness is 1.25m. In the list of the brightest stars in the sky, she takes an honorable nineteenth place. But in the summer triangle, Deneb is inferior in brilliance to both Vega and Altair. This, however, does not say anything about its luminosity or other physical characteristics. After all, the brightness of a star is affected not only by the amount of light emitted by it, but also by the distance at which it is located from us.

Distance and luminosity of Deneb

It was very difficult to estimate the distance to Deneb. Attempts to do this directly have been made since the second half of the 19th century. Even then it became clear that the star does not show any noticeable shift against the background of other stars. (Today, parallaxes are reliably determined only to stars relatively close to us, located at distances up to 300-400 light-years from Earth.) This meant that Deneb was very far from us. But how much?

After the advent of spectral analysis, astronomers studied the spectrum of the star in detail and attributed it to the type of supergiant stars, that is, stars of the highest luminosity. Spectral type of Deneb A2Ia. Roman numeral I means that it is a supergiant star, and the letter a classifies it as a bright supergiant. Maybe we should look for other supergiants with similar characteristics, whose brightness would be greater than Deneb (which would mean that they are closer to us) and try to determine the distance to them? And only then, by the difference in brilliance, draw conclusions about the distance? swan?

Of the twenty brightest stars in the sky, four more have a similar status: Canopus, Betelgeuse, Rigel and Antares. But Betelgeuse and Antares are red supergiants, they did not suit astronomers. Canopus and Rigel are more similar to Deneb, but they too were too far away for a reliable determination of the distance. In general, supergiants are one of the rarest stars in the Galaxy, and therefore there is nothing surprising in the fact that not a single such star appeared near the Sun.

Finding that they were unable to determine the distances to supergiant stars directly, astronomers developed complex indirect estimation methods that take into account many different factors - from the belonging of stars to stellar associations and theoretical models of spectra to studying the brightness of similar stars in other galaxies and interstellar absorption of light. As a result, based on many observations, a well-calibrated scale of distances to supergiants was obtained, which today gives a smaller error than measuring parallaxes.

Deneb is in the thick of it Milky Way, among glowing clouds of gas and dark interstellar dust. A photo: Greg Parker, Noel Carboni

In 1978, astronomer Humphreys estimated the distance to the star at 2,750 light-years. (For comparison: the best parallax obtained by the HIPPARCOS satellite gives half the distance - 1425 light years!) Almost 3000 light years - 1/30 of the diameter of our galaxy - a very solid distance. Here we already have to take into account the weakening and reddening of the light coming from the star due to absorption by interstellar dust. Indeed, if there were a completely dust-free space between the Sun and Deneb, the brightness of Deneb would be 0.12 stars. led. higher and would be 1.13m. The difference between the visible and true radiation of a star is thus 10%!

Now, knowing true brilliance? Cygnus and its distance, we can estimate the amount of energy that a star radiates. It turns out that Deneb has an absolutely fantastic luminosity - only 196,000 suns will give the same radiation flux like that bluish-white star! Look at the starry sky at night: you will not find stars of higher luminosity in it. None of the stars visible to the naked eye (perhaps with the exception of Rigel) shine as intensely as Deneb.

This figure may give an idea of the relative sizes of the Sun and Deneb, as well as the differences in the luminosity of the two stars. Picture: Big Universe

To make the idea of the luminosity of this supergiant more visual, imagine that Deneb is at the same distance from us as Altair, the star that forms the lower peak of the Great Summer Triangle (the distance to Altair is 17 light years). In this case, Deneb's brilliance would be equal to -9.8m, which is only 17 times less than the brightness of the full moon! Deneb would be perfectly visible even during the day, and at night would cast clear shadows, far exceeding in brightness any star or planet, as well as the Moon in a phase less than the first and last quarter.

Dimensions and mass of Deneb

So, Deneb is most likely the brightest star within a radius of several thousand light-years from the Sun. Other characteristics of Alpha Cygnus are also impressive.

The mass of Deneb is 19 times greater than the Sun, and its radius is 200 times greater than the radius of the Sun (see here). Being placed in the place of our daylight in the center of the solar system, Deneb would have swallowed up Mercury, Venus and almost reached the orbit of the Earth. The phenomenal characteristics of a star are complemented by a colossal stellar wind, which carries a significant portion of its matter into outer space.

Observations show that Deneb is losing matter 100,000 times faster than the sun. The rate of mass loss is, according to various estimates, from one ten-millionth to one millionth of the mass of the Sun per year, which is approximately 0.25 - 0.3 of the mass of the Earth. Simple calculations show that in 6-10 million years of life Deneb lost up to 6 solar masses!

Probably, Deneb began his evolutionary path as a class O star with a surface temperature of about 50,000 ° and a mass of 23-25 solar masses. Now, being in the supergiant stage, Deneb has cooled down significantly - its temperature is "only" 8500 degrees Kelvin, which, however, is also quite a lot.

If Deneb were placed in the place of the Sun, then its photosphere would almost reach the orbit of the Earth. Picture: Big Universe

By the way, here's another little detail that indicates that the star has evolved a lot and entered a period of instability. Accurate photometric observations show that Deneb's brightness ranges from 1.21 to 1.29m. Deneb is a variable star that is the prototype of the pulsating blue supergiant stars. Variables of the Alpha Cygnus type are bright supergiants of spectral types B and A with a small brightness variation amplitude (of the order of 0.1m), which is practically imperceptible to the naked eye. The pulsations that cause the brightness change are non-radial, and the cycles last from several days to several weeks.

Why is Deneb a blue supergiant?

Here, by the way, it would be appropriate to explain why Deneb is still so hot? We all know that when reaching the stage of giants and supergiants, the stars cool down greatly (which is natural) and therefore their color is usually red. Was Deneb a red giant? Probably was.

Most likely, we observe a star at a very short moment of its evolution (by stellar standards), lasting only a few tens of thousands of years. A star as massive as Deneb can drastically change spectral type (from O to M and back), getting hotter each time its condensing core begins to burn heavier chemical elements. As the nuclei of ever heavier elements enter into the reactions, the duration of the reactions that maintain the stability of the massive core of the star becomes shorter and shorter. In the end, the core will exhaust all possible sources of stable existence and collapse under the influence of its own gravity. We will first see a powerful supernova explosion, and then, as the remnants of the star dissipate, we will also discover what remains of Deneb's core, most likely a black hole.

The evolutionary status of Deneb. Massive stars like? Cygnus can undergo dramatic changes in size, temperature, and color over the course of their evolution. Picture: Big Universe

 • Alternative title:α Leo
 • Apparent magnitude: 1,35
 • Distance to the Sun: 77.5 St. years

The brightest star in the constellation Leo and one of the brightest stars in the night sky. Regulus is located at a distance of about 77.5 light years from the solar system. From Latin, the name is translated as "prince". In Arabic, it sounds like Kalb Al-Assad (قلب الأسد), which means "the heart of a lion." Sometimes the translation of this name is found in Latin - Cor Leonis. Regulus is considered the last in the list of stars of the first magnitude, since the next brightest star, Adara, has a magnitude of 1.50m, which makes it a star of the second magnitude.

Regulus is about 3.5 times more massive than the Sun. It is a young star, only a few hundred million years old. It rotates extremely fast, with a rotation period of only 15.9 hours, which makes its shape highly flattened (the equatorial radius is one third larger than the polar one) and similar to a pumpkin. This results in gravitational darkening, in which the poles of a star are significantly (50%) hotter and five times brighter (per unit surface area) than its equator. If it were only spinning 14% faster, the centripetal gravitational force would not be enough to keep the star from disintegrating. The axis of rotation of Regulus almost coincides with the direction of motion of the star in space. It was also found that the axis of rotation is perpendicular to the line of sight. This means that we are watching Regulus from the edge.

 • Alternative title:α Cygnus
 • Apparent magnitude: 1,25
 • Distance to the Sun:~1550 St. years

The name "Deneb" comes from the Arabic dheneb ("tail"), from the phrase ذنب الدجاجة dhanab ad-dajājat, or "hen's tail". This star is the brightest in the constellation Cygnus, ranks ninth in brightness among the stars of the northern hemisphere and twentieth among the stars of both hemispheres. Together with the stars Vega and Altair, Deneb forms the "summer-autumn triangle", which is visible in the Northern Hemisphere during the summer and autumn months.

Deneb is one of the largest and most powerful stars known to science. The diameter of Deneb is approximately equal to the diameter of the earth's orbit (≈300 million kilometers). Deneb has an absolute magnitude of −6.5m, making Deneb the most powerful of the 25 brightest stars in the sky.

The exact distance to Deneb remains a matter of controversy to this day. Most stars at this distance from Earth are not visible to the naked eye, and can only be identified from a catalog, provided they are known at all. On various Internet resources, you can find values from 1340 to 3200 light years. The latest parallax refinements give a distance estimate of 1340 to 1840 light years, with a most likely value of 1550 light years.

If Deneb were a point source of light at the same distance from the Earth as the Sun, then it would be much brighter than most industrial lasers. In one earthly day it radiates more light than the Sun in 140 years. If it were at the same distance as Sirius, it would be brighter than the full moon.

The mass of Deneb is considered equal to 15-25 solar. Since Deneb is a white supergiant, due to its high temperature and mass, it can be concluded that its lifespan is short, and in a couple of million years it will become a supernova. Thermonuclear reactions involving hydrogen have already ceased in its core.

Every year, Deneb loses up to 0.8 millionth of the solar mass in the form of a stellar wind. This is one hundred thousand times greater than that of the Sun.

 • Alternative title:β Gemini
 • Apparent magnitude: 1,14
 • Distance to the Sun: 40 St. years

This star was named after one of the two Dioscuri brothers - Polydeuces ("Pollux" is his Latinized name). In the drawing of the constellation Pollux is located on the head of the southern twin.

According to the classification of Johann Bayer, the star is labeled as β Gemini, despite the fact that it is the brightest in the constellation. "Alpha" was also named the star Castor with an apparent magnitude of 1.57. It so happened due to the fact that visually these two stars are almost equally bright, and just for such a case, when two stars of the same brightness are located close to each other, there is a second Bayer classification criterion (the first criterion is brightness) - priority is given to the more northern star.

Pollux is a small orange star that belongs to the spectral type K0 IIIb. Its luminosity is only 32 times that of our Sun. The mass of Pollux is 1.86 solar masses. Based on these data, it becomes clear what is heavenly body could not have entered the list of the brightest stars in the sky, if not for its close distance to our planet. According to 2011 data, the distance from Pollux to Earth is only 40 light years, which is not so much by the standards of space.

The only thing Pollux boasts of is its radius. According to the latest data, its radius exceeds the radius of our Sun by eight times. However, it is believed that it will gradually increase as Pollux slowly transforms into a red giant. Astronomical calculations suggest that the helium supply in the star will run out in about 100 million years, after which Beta Gemini will turn into white dwarf.

In 2006, a team of astronomers confirmed that Pollux had an exoplanet.

 • Alternative title:α Taurus
 • Apparent magnitude: 0.85 (variable)
 • Distance to the Sun: 65 St. years

Aldebaran is the brightest Zyezd among all the stars of the zodiac constellations. The name comes from the Arabic word الدبران (al-dabarān), meaning "follower" - a star in the night sky makes its way after the Pleiades. Because of its position in the head of Taurus, it was called the Eye of Taurus (lat. Oculus Taurī). The names Paliliy and Lamparus are also known.

With an apparent magnitude of 0.85, Aldebaran is the 14th brightest star in the night sky. Its absolute magnitude is -0.3, and the distance to Earth is 65 light years.

Aldebaran has a spectral type of K5III, a surface temperature of 4010° Kelvin, and a luminosity 425 times that of the Sun. The star has a mass of 1.7 solar masses and a diameter that is 44.2 times that of the sun.

Aldebaran is one of the simplest stars to be found in the night sky, partly because of its brightness and partly because of its spatial location in relation to one of the most prominent asterisms in the sky. If you follow the three stars in Orion's belt from left to right (northern hemisphere) or right to left (south), the first bright star you find as you continue along this line is Aldebaran.

 • Alternative title:α Eagle
 • Apparent magnitude: 0,77
 • Distance to the Sun: 18 St. years

Altair is one of the closest stars visible to the naked eye. Along with Beta Aquila and Tarazed, the star forms a well-known line of stars sometimes called the Aquila family. Altair forms one of the vertices of the Summer Triangle along with Deneb and Vega.

Altair has an extremely high rotation speed, which reaches 210 kilometers per second at the equator. Thus, one period is about 9 hours. By comparison, the Sun takes just over 25 days to complete one full rotation at the equator. This rapid rotation causes the Altair to be slightly flattened. Its equatorial diameter is 20 percent larger than the polar one.

Altair has a spectral type of A7Vn, a surface temperature of 7500° Kelvin, and a luminosity 10.6 times that of the Sun. Its mass is 1.79 solar masses, and its diameter is 1.9 times greater than that of the Sun.

 • Alternative title:α Orionis
 • Apparent magnitude: 0.50 (variable)
 • Distance to the Sun: 495 - 640 St. years

Betelgeuse is a bright star in the constellation Orion. A red supergiant, a semi-regular variable star whose brightness varies from 0.2 to 1.2 magnitudes. The minimum luminosity of Betelgeuse is 80 thousand times greater than the luminosity of the Sun, and the maximum is 105 thousand times. The distance to the star is, according to various estimates, from 495 to 640 light years. This is one of the largest stars known to astronomers: if it were placed in the place of the Sun, then at a minimum size it would fill the orbit of Mars, and at a maximum size it would reach the orbit of Jupiter.

The angular diameter of Betelgeuse, according to modern estimates, is about 0.055 arcseconds. If we take the distance to Betelgeuse equal to 570 light years, then its diameter will exceed the diameter of the Sun by about 950-1000 times. The mass of Betelgeuse is approximately 13-17 solar masses.

 • Alternative title:α Small Dog
 • Apparent magnitude: 0,38
 • Distance to the Sun: 11.46 St. years

To the naked eye, Procyon looks like a single star. In fact, Procyon is a binary star system consisting of a main sequence white dwarf called Procyon A and a faint white dwarf called Procyon B. Procyon looks so bright not because of its luminosity, but because of its proximity to the Sun. The system is located at a distance of 11.46 light years (3.51 parsecs) and is one of our closest neighbors.

The origin of the name Procyon is very interesting. It is based on long observation. The literal translation from the Greek is "before the Dog", more literary - "the harbinger of the dog." The Arabs called him - "Sirius, shedding tears." All names have a direct connection with Sirius, who was worshiped by many ancient peoples. Not surprisingly, observing the starry sky, they noticed the harbinger of the rising Sirius - Procyon. He appears in the sky 40 minutes earlier, as if running ahead. If you imagine Canis Minor in the picture, then Procyon should be looked for in its hind legs.

Procyon shines like 8 of our Suns and is the eighth brightest star in the night sky, the luminosity is 6.9 times greater than that of the Sun. The mass of the star is 1.4 times the mass of the Sun, and the diameter is 2 times. He is moving towards solar system at a speed of 4500 m per second

Finding Procyon is not difficult. To do this, you need to face south. Find the belt of Orion with your eyes and draw a line from the lower star of the belt to the east. You can navigate by the larger constellation Gemini. In relation to the horizon, the Small Dog is below them. And finding Procyon in the constellation Canis is not difficult, because it is the only bright object, and it attracts with its radiance. Since the constellation Canis Minor is equatorial, that is, it rises very low above the horizon, it rises differently at different times of the year and the best time for its observations is winter.

 • Alternative title:α Aurigae
 • Apparent magnitude: 0,08
 • Distance to the Sun: 42.6 St. years

Capella is the brightest star in the constellation Auriga, the sixth brightest star in the sky and the third brightest in the sky of the Northern Hemisphere.

Capella (lat. Capella - "Goat"), also Capra (lat. Capra - "goat"), Al Khayot (Arabic العيوق - "goat") - a yellow giant. In the drawing of the constellation, Capella is located on the shoulder of the Auriga. On sky maps, a goat was often drawn on this shoulder of the Charioteer. It is closer to the north pole of the world than any other star of the first magnitude (the North Star is only of the second magnitude) and therefore plays an important role in many mythological tales.

From an astronomical point of view, Capella is interesting in that it is a spectroscopic binary star. Two giant stars of spectral type G, with a luminosity of about 77 and 78 solar, are 100 million km apart (2/3 of the distance from the Earth to the Sun) and rotate with a period of 104 days. The first and fainter component - Capella Aa has already evolved from the main sequence and is at the stage of a red giant, helium burning processes have already begun in the interior of the star. The second and brighter component - Capella Ab has also left the main sequence and is on the so-called "Hertzsprung gap" - a transitional stage in the evolution of stars, in which the thermonuclear synthesis of helium from hydrogen in the core has already ended, but helium combustion has not yet begun. Capella is a source of gamma radiation, possibly due to magnetic activity on the surface of one of the components.

The masses of the stars are approximately the same and amount to 2.5 solar masses for each star. In the future, due to the expansion to the red giant, the shells of the stars will expand and, quite likely, will come into contact.

The central stars also have a faint companion, which, in turn, is itself a double star, consisting of two class M stars - red dwarfs orbiting the main pair in an orbit with a radius of about one light year.

Capella was the brightest star in the sky from 210,000 to 160,000 BC. e. Prior to this, the role of the brightest star in the sky was played by Aldebaran, and after that by Canopus.

 • Alternative title:α Lyra
 • Apparent magnitude: 0.03 (variable)
 • Distance to the Sun: b> 25.3 St. years

In summer and autumn, in the night sky, in the northern hemisphere celestial sphere one can distinguish the so-called Great Summer Triangle. This is one of the most famous asterisms. We already know that it includes the familiar Deneb and Altair. They are located "lower", and at the top of the Triangle is Vega - a bright blue star, which is the main one in the constellation Lyra.

Vega is the brightest star in the constellation Lyra, the fifth brightest star in the night sky and the second (after Arcturus) in the Northern Hemisphere. Vega is located at a distance of 25.3 light years from the Sun and is one of the brightest stars in its vicinity (at a distance of up to 10 parsecs). This star has a spectral type of A0Va, a surface temperature of 9600° Kelvin, and its luminosity is 37 times greater than that of the Sun. The mass of the star is 2.1 solar masses, the diameter is 2.3 times that of the Sun.

The name "Vega" comes from an approximate transliteration of the word waqi ("falling") from the phrase Arab. النسر الواقع‎ (an-nasr al-wāqi‘), meaning “falling eagle” or “falling vulture”.

Vega, sometimes referred to by astronomers as "probably the most important star after the Sun," is currently the most studied star in the night sky. Vega was the first star (after the Sun) to be photographed and also the first star to have its emission spectrum determined. Also, Vega was one of the first stars to which the distance was determined by the parallax method. The brightness of Vega has long been taken as zero when measuring stellar magnitudes, that is, it was a reference point and was one of the six stars that underlie the scale of UBV photometry (measurement of star radiation in various spectral ranges).

Vega rotates very quickly around its axis, at its equator the rotation speed reaches 274 km / s. Vega spins a hundred times faster, resulting in an ellipsoid of revolution. The temperature of its photosphere is not uniform: the maximum temperature is at the pole of the star, and the minimum temperature is at the equator. At present, from Earth, Vega is observed almost from the pole, and therefore it appears as a bright blue-white star. Recently, asymmetries have been identified in the disk of Vega, indicating the possible presence of at least one planet near Vega, which may be approximately the size of Jupiter.

In the XII century BC. Vega was the North Star and will be again in 12,000 years. The "change" of the Polar stars is connected with the phenomenon of the precession of the earth's axis.

 • Alternative title:α Bootes
 • Apparent magnitude:−0.05 (variable)
 • Distance to the Sun: 36.7 St. years

Arcturus (Alramech, Azimech, Colanza) is the brightest star in the constellation Bootes and the northern hemisphere and the fourth brightest star in the night sky after Sirius, Canopus and the Alpha Centauri system. The apparent magnitude of Arcturus is −0.05m. It enters the Arcturus stellar stream, which, according to Ivan Minchev from the University of Strasbourg and his colleagues, arose as a result of absorption milky way another galaxy about 2 billion years ago.

Arcturus is one of the brightest stars in the sky and therefore easy to find in the sky. Visible anywhere in the world north of 71° S due to its slight northerly declination. To find it in the sky, you need to lay an arc through the three stars of the handle of the Big Dipper bucket - Aliot, Mizar, Benetnash (Alkaid).

Arcturus is an orange giant of spectral type K1.5 IIIpe. The letters "pe" (from the English peculiar emission) mean that the spectrum of the star is atypical and contains emission lines. In the optical range, Arcturus is more than 110 times brighter than the Sun. From observations it is assumed that Arcturus is a variable star, its brightness changes by 0.04 magnitude every 8.3 days. As with most red giants, the reason for the variability is the pulsation of the star's surface. Radius - 25.7 ± 0.3 solar radii, surface temperature - 4300 K. The exact mass of the star is unknown, but most likely close to the solar mass. Arcturus is now at that stage of stellar evolution, in which our daylight star will be in the future - in the red giant phase. The age of Arcturus is about 7.1 billion years (but not more than 8.5 billion)

Arcturus, like more than 50 other stars, is in the Arcturus stream, which brings together stars of different age and metallicity level, moving with similar speed and direction. Given the high speeds of the stars, it is possible that in the past they were captured and absorbed by the Milky Way along with their parent galaxy. Therefore, Arcturus, one of the brightest and relatively close stars to us, may have an extragalactic origin.

The name of the star comes from other Greek. Ἀρκτοῦρος, ἄρκτου οὖρος, "Guardian of the Bear". According to one version of the ancient Greek legend, Arcturus is identified with Arkad, who was placed in the sky by Zeus to protect his mother, the nymph Callisto, who was turned by Hera into a bear (the constellation Ursa Major). According to another version, Arkad is the constellation of Bootes, the brightest star of which is Arcturus.

In Arabic, Arcturus is called Haris-as-sama, "keeper of the heavens" (see Haris).

In Hawaiian, Arcturus is called Hokulea (gav. Hōkūle’a) - “star of happiness”, in the Hawaiian Islands it culminates almost exactly at its zenith. Ancient Hawaiian navigators relied on its height when they sailed to Hawaii.

Anna walked along the very edge of a deep abyss. In a shiny gray jumpsuit, her thin figure seemed to float above the surface of the planet. Andrei was only a few steps behind. A gray, boundless, rocky plateau spread out before their eyes. Not a patch of vegetation, not any hint of visible forms of biological life. Dreary gray surface. The red sun of Alpha Cygnus was high. The air was fresh and clean. Anna threw off her helmet and breathed in the sweet, fragrant air. Even in the laboratory, on the ship, having made air samples, people knew that it was breathable and could even completely replace human nutrition. The air had an unusually high concentration of trace elements and energetically active substances necessary for human life.
Yesterday, their expeditionary ship, consisting of three people, flew to this fourth planet of the second star Alpha in the constellation Cygnus. The planet was habitable, but animal and plant life has not yet been observed. Anna came very close to the edge of the abyss. Below was the same boundless gray desert. Anna looked back. Andrei looked at something on the surface of the planet. He was tall, slender, gray-eyed; a very courageous person. Starship zero space. Expedition leader. Many difficult flights were made by him. Anna liked this strong-willed man, but Andrei did not seem to notice this at all and was completely immersed in his work. He was her old comrade from the Academy, and a month ago he invited her to take part in this expedition.
Anna was engaged in studying the possibility of developing an intelligent biological-electromagnetic life form at the level of the smallest elementary particles. Her profession as a physicist-biologist gave her every opportunity for this. Sirius scientists came to the conclusion that the higher the frequency of electromagnetic radiation of elementary particles, the higher the degree of their mind, if at all it could be called mind from the point of view of a biological being. Unfortunately, contact with this degree of intelligence has not yet been made.
Anna was very interested in the forthcoming expedition. The planets of the double star Cygnus were still little studied, and it was necessary to determine on which of the planets biological life is possible, and, if so, what level of consciousness it possesses.
The third member of the expedition was a young radio physicist Anton. This was his second flight to the stars. He was very cheerful and witty, and besides, he was also an excellent cook. Anton was a good specialist in his field, and on this expedition one of his tasks was to establish radio communications with the home planet of the double star Sirius. Yesterday their ship successfully passed the dense asteroid belt surrounding the planet. The landing was also successful, but for some reason, when approaching the planet, communication with Sirius was disrupted. Anton has so far unsuccessfully tried to restore it. Before landing on the surface of an alien planet, Andrei ordered to make two turns around it: along the equator and along the meridian. The presence of traces of the activity of an intelligent civilization on the planet was not found.
The planet consisted of rocky plateaus - terraces and mountains. According to the instructions and for safety reasons, it was forbidden for all members of the expedition to leave the ship at the same time. Leaving Anton aboard the ship, Andrei and Anna decided to make the first exit to the surface. A small aircraft brought them to this plateau within a few minutes and now stood alone not far from them. The two of them quickly walked along this plateau, but nothing changed in the surrounding landscape. The ground seemed lifeless and very hard. Anna tried to catch at least some variety: “Is it really in vain that we flew here. Nothing is in vain,” Anna continued to think, and at that time Andrey called out to her. Anna looked back. Andrei looked at something on the surface. For some reason, my heart skipped a beat: “Here it has begun!”. She quickly approached Andrew.
Andrey stood near a deep fissure crossing the plateau. Next to the crack was, as it were, a sign engraved. Anna took a photo of him. It looked like a triangle, inside of which was drawn the sign of infinity. They exchanged glances. Someone left this image here. “It is necessary to study everything here more carefully,” Andrey said aloud. At this time, they sensed that something was about to happen. The greenish sky began to pulsate and glow. The instruments showed changes in geomagnetic fluxes. Suddenly, a high, brilliant jet of energy appeared not far from them, which went into the sky. No sound, no breeze, only unusually fresh clean and fragrant air. People stood stunned, unable to move.
Andrei was the first to run up to the place where the flow of energy went into the sky. There was no radioactivity, and the sign of infinity was again drawn on the surface of the planet. And then they heard a rumble that grew rapidly. “It's time to return to the ship” - Andrey grabbed Anna by the hand, but it was already too late. Here and there, on all this endless plateau, streams of energy arose and went into the sky.
All this happened very quickly, and it was unusually beautiful. The air became even more fragrant, and smelled of ozone. The sky pulsed and glowed. It took this energy into itself and dissolved it. Anna's thoughts were racing through her head. There was no fear. There was one luminous joy from happiness to learn something new unknown to touch something unknown. Andrei looked at Anna in surprise. He had long been able to read other people's thoughts, but he never allowed himself to do so. Immediately, Anna's thoughts were so weighty and clear that they pierced his protective armor and also took possession of him. “Apparently something new and amazing is waiting for us here,” Andrei laughed, embracing Anna by the shoulders, and suddenly felt all her fragility, tenderness and love, as well as happiness and joy of knowledge. He looked into her big blue eyes, as bottomless as the Cosmos itself, and instantly drowned in them, feeling at the same time all the wisdom of Eternity.
It all ended as suddenly as it began. The sky ceased to pulsate and glow. The flows of energy disappeared, but the feeling of extraordinary peace and happiness remained in the soul. And then they noticed that the connection with the ship is not working. Apparently something was broken.
They quickly returned to the aircraft and were soon on board the ship. Anton did not notice anything strange happening in the atmosphere of the planet, except for the simultaneous absence of a signal from all devices for several seconds, from which he concluded that a geomagnetic discharge could have occurred in the atmosphere, which created these interferences. He did not pay attention to the long absence of Andrei and Anna. Anton was busy fixing the equipment and trying to re-establish contact with Sirius. Unfortunately, the equipment could not be repaired.
Anton was very happy about the appearance of Andrey and Anna and offered them a delicious dinner, which he prepared according to the recipe of the most ancient cuisine of the natural food of their planet. Andrei ate dinner and looked at Anna in a completely new way. Those bottomless eyes! How did he not notice them before. This smile! This is the happiness that every cell of her body breathed. “And maybe I needed this flight in order to understand this,” he thought, and caught a cheerful spark in Anna's eyes. Apparently she read his mind.
All was calm until the next morning. They checked the instrument records. This unknown phenomenon was not recorded by the instruments on board the ship. Either they went offline, or the record on them was erased by someone. Then, in the second case, a reasonable civilization still existed on this planet. Near the ship, still nothing happened. In the morning it was decided to fly around the planet again.
The early morning was great! The clear sky shone with a greenish light, there were no clouds. Visibility was good. Andrey guided the ship by hand. He did not want to put it on automatic control mode. Andrey, thus, felt the ship better, and he obeyed him. Anna sat next to the view screen. No sign of visible life. All the same monotonous gray plateau. Another air sample was taken. It was sterile, no microorganisms were observed. Anna thought hard. She, as a biologist, first encountered such a phenomenon. The air was suitable for life, but the smallest forms of life did not exist either visible or fixed by instruments. A soil sample also yielded nothing. In the meantime, the plateau ended and below, for several hundred meters, another equally endless, gray space spread. Finally, mountains appeared in the distance. They were as gray and gloomy as the plateau itself. Soon the ship was flying over the mountain range. They flew over the mountains for a long time. Anna suggested stopping at the foot of a very high mountain and once again examining the surface of the soil. Andrey considered it expedient.
The ship landed very close to the mountain. Quickly putting on protective suits and armed with all the necessary protective equipment, Anna and Andrei went to the surface of the planet. Andrei ordered Anton to put a protective field around the ship and be extremely careful. After turning on the protective field, the ship became invisible in the world of three-dimensional forms. The protective high-frequency field, like a mirror, reflected everything that happened in the surrounding space. Everything within that field itself was invisible. Andrei once again checked the connection with the ship. The connection worked.
Anna and Andrei carefully looked around. Directly in front of them, as it seemed to them, close enough, this mountain towered. It was an even pyramidal shape. Andrew offered to come closer to her. Having taken a few steps, he felt with the intuition of an experienced researcher that they were being watched. Ordering Anna to turn on the protective screen, they moved on. The mountain was slowly approaching. The sense of danger persisted. Anxiety began to rise in my heart. There was a feeling that there was an impact on their mental field. Andrei ordered to strengthen the protection. The feeling lessened a bit, but didn't stop. They continued to move forward, although the going became more and more difficult. The air itself seemed to thicken. People joined hands to overcome the growing resistance of space together. Taking a few more steps forward, Andrei realized that they probably wouldn't be able to move any further. The air resistance was too great. It became viscous, almost material. They stopped. Andrei ordered Anna not to move with a glance. He stretched out his hand and found to his surprise that it had hit a dense, pulsing, invisible wall. The mountain suddenly receded.

Chapter 2

Andrei and Anna stopped at this dense pulsating wall. It was impossible to go any further. It was a high-frequency barrage, much more powerful than people knew. Vibrations grew around them. There were flashes before their eyes. People realized that they would not go further, it was necessary to return to the ship. It was becoming dangerous to be here, and there was no point in taking risks. At that very moment, something incredible happened. The mountain that was directly in front of them turned its top towards the people and suddenly turned into a luminous pulsating line, then into a point that began to lean on the stunned people. This point swallowed them up so quickly that Anna did not even have time to scream, as they were inside her.
Instantly, their entire protective field disappeared. The environment was not aggressive. For a moment they lost consciousness, and when they woke up, they saw that they were sitting under a large spreading tree on a beautiful flowering lawn. The leaves of this tree were round and lilac in color. They rustled softly in the wind. Overhead, in a bright yellow sky, shone, silvery blue, two large suns. They almost touched each other. The air was wonderful, it smelled of ozone. A river gurgled in the distance. Unusually bright flowers bloomed. They were of the most varied shapes and colors. Birds sang. Numerous insects circled over the flowers. Everything was very colorful. There was an impression of unreality. Some large animal that looked like a domestic cat came up to them, sniffed at their feet and sat down beside them. It was red in color with bright blue, very intelligent eyes. A little dizzy. Andrei quickly got to his feet: “Anna, what do you think about this?”. Anna carefully looked at Andrey: “You understand, it seems to me, most likely, we got through the transition point to another dimension of this planet. Theoretically, this is possible if there is a reasonable civilization here. They let us in."
Before Anna had time to finish the sentence, a tall, handsome old man with intelligent penetrating eyes materialized in front of them. Gray hair framed his high forehead. "Do not be afraid!" he said in a melodic voice. His voice sounded like the ringing of bells, but nevertheless his words sounded clearly in the head of Andrei and Anna. “We have been waiting for you Sirius Mind. Even when you flew up to our planet, we already knew about your approach and about your intentions. If you had other intentions, we simply would not have allowed you to land on our planet. We've been watching you all these hours you've been here, and to your credit; your civilization is very advanced. Once upon a time, several million years ago, we visited the Sirius star system and their planets. We saw the direction of your development and knew that sooner or later our meeting would take place. I invite you to follow me, my friends.” Anna and Andrei felt the very powerful energy of love that this man radiated. "My name is Elon," he continued, gesturing to them in the direction they were going.
Together they took a few steps across the lawn and saw a brilliant platform. Stepping on it, Andrei and Anna prepared for teleportation. Everything turned out differently than Andrew thought. Elon touched his chest. The site was covered from above with a spherical, matte shimmering dome. Soft chairs appeared from somewhere. Elon motioned for Anna and Andrey to sit down. “Now we will move to the central city of our planet, which is in an even higher dimension. I mean a higher frequency of electromagnetic oscillations. Don't worry, you are not in danger. You have sufficient spirituality, and therefore your body will withstand the frequencies of all eight dimensions of our planet. You can visit each of them, but for now you have seen two of them”
For Anna and Andrei, all this was very unusual. Still, their system of Sirius, which was considered very developed and stood far ahead in its development compared to the planets of other stars, had only four dimensions. These were: the physical world, the ethereal world, where one could be in the ethereal body, the astral world, where the energy of a person had the shape of his body, and the subtle energy world, where one could move in the form of a clot of energy. All these four dimensions, especially the last three, gave great opportunities for movement in space. Every person who lived on the planet of the Sirius star system could use all these opportunities and change his body at his own discretion and need. People preferred to be in ethereal or physical bodies. The man of the system of stars of Sirius did not yet know other possibilities. Apparently it was a higher civilization.
Anna thought that only two people would not be enough to contact this civilization, apparently, a large expedition is needed here. Elon seemed to read her thoughts. “Expedition is not needed. You two are needed. It is you who will be able to perceive our information and, upon returning, will bring a grain of wisdom to the energy level of your system of stars of Sirius, and it will receive a new impetus for its development. The time has come for this, and the hour has come. You were sent here by your very star, we already knew about this meeting about a thousand years ago,” Elon fell silent.
Meanwhile, they apparently moved in space along with the aircraft, but no vibration was felt. Elon raised his hand. The dome is gone. They were on the same shiny metal platform. The sky above was purple. Around the metal platform where they stood, an expanse of bright blue pulsating surface spread out in all directions. Not far away were very beautiful natural landscapes, somewhat reminiscent of artificial structures. They were pink and glowing from within. Elon stepped onto the blue surface of the soil. Andrew followed him.

The ground was hard as metal, but warm at the same time. Anna followed. She tried to discreetly summon Anton. There was no connection. Anna became afraid for Anton; what he might think. Elon turned around, looked at Anna and said: “Don't worry, your companion is fine. We are watching him. He's busy reconnecting and hasn't looked for you yet. In addition, time flows unevenly in different dimensions. You've been here for at least an hour, and it's only been ten minutes on your ship since you left it. When necessary, we will provide you with a fast connection through the tunnel transition of the Mobius ring or the pulsating surface. We will not cause you the slightest harm or disturbance.”
They continued to walk towards these beautiful buildings. Suddenly, Elon disappeared, and a second later, small multi-colored pulsating balls began to fly out of all the buildings. They approached people, then moved away, as if talking to each other and at the same time studying representatives of another civilization.
Andrey stretched out his hand, but before he could touch one of the balls, he received a strong blow to his hand. There was a luminous trace on the hand. There was no pain. Meanwhile, the ball, which he tried to touch, began to dance rapidly in the air and glow strongly. Large eyes and a mouth appeared on its surface, which moved as if saying something to Andrey. Andrei froze in surprise, and the ball began to fly around him in some very complex orbit at high speed. Nevertheless, there was some consistency in his movement.
Anna stood by. She tried to take Andrey by the hand, but couldn't. Strong energies hit her on the arm. And suddenly she saw that Andrei was disappearing. She screamed and at that moment she heard Andrei's voice in her head: “It's all right. I'm inside these pink buildings. It's wonderful here." The balls are gone. Andrew was not there. Elon was standing next to Anna. "Don't worry. Andrei is now going through the school of our knowledge.”
Meanwhile, Andrei found himself inside the building under a silver-pink dome. He sat in a comfortable easy chair. A gentle voice said, “Man from the planet of the Sirius star system, we are glad to welcome you to our planet. Do not be afraid of anything. We want to show you our civilization. Now we will record the knowledge about our development on your energy information field. You are a person from another system, but you will know everything about us. Space is developing, and we are interested in your speedy development. You are ready for this and that is why you are here.”
Andrei felt a tingling all over his body, then he saw a pulsating cloud around him, which was moving and changing shape. It became either a ball, or a torus, or a cylinder. It rotated with great speed and suddenly fell on Andrey, absorbing him. The room is gone. Andrei felt like a part of this cloud. He was one with him. He was, as it were, wholly this cloud and at the same time a small particle in it. And around him were faithful and devoted friends, and such a wave of love swept over him, which he had never experienced before. In an instant, he realized the unity of all things. “This is what true BROTHERHOOD is! This is when you have everything and everything in you” - Flashed through his brain.
When he woke up, he saw that he was sitting in a chair. The dome and walls of the room began to slowly disappear, and not far away Andrey saw Elon and Anna, who were quietly talking about something. They sat in beautiful white armchairs at a large white table. Andrew got up and walked over to them. Up close, the table was much larger than it looked. Its smooth matte surface was eye-catching. She was kind of mysterious.
Elon smoothly passed his hand over the shimmering surface of the table, and in it, as in a television screen, the familiar Cosmos appeared. The stars pulsated and shone. They moved in space. Andrei and Anna saw the system of stars in Sirius. Their home star Betta Sirius was approaching. They saw their planet, its vegetation, cities, and finally themselves sitting in a park by a fountain. Elon smiled, “That was all in the past. It's not hard to restore it. We read this information from the memory field of Andrey's cells. And now we will show you our civilization.” Elon again held his hand over the table, and Andrei and Anna saw, as if in reality, the development of the civilization of the star Alpha Cygnus and its planets.
Andrei and Anna realized that this civilization is far ahead of them. The civilizations of the star Alpha of the constellation Cygnus do not even need to move in space in order to know what is happening on other planets and stars. It is enough to connect with the energy of the Universe and all information about the Cosmos becomes available. But for this, of course, you need to have unusually high vibration frequencies of your personal energy field and a purified consciousness. All the inhabitants of the fourth planet of the Alpha star in the constellation Cygnus had these abilities.
There was a single energetic, intelligent substance on the planet, which created perfect living conditions for itself. At will, any individual entering this substance could stand out from it and live separately. He could take for himself a thin physical shell of any living creature of the Universe, including a person, and create conditions for himself to live and exist in them. For this, there were eight dimensions on the planet. The life of all these dimensions passed before the eyes of the amazed Andrei and Anna. Elon temporarily took on the shell of the physical body of a person in order to be understandable to Andrey and Anna. And those animals and plants that Andrei and Anna saw on this planet possessed the highest mind and intuition and were one with the Cosmic Mind, with God. Time is gone. Andrei and Anna seemed to have lived an eternity with this Universal mind that inhabits this planet.
They woke up at a powerful, pulsing energy wall. In the distance was a high pyramidal mountain. A transmitter was working on the hand: “Where are you, friends?” Anton's alarmed voice shouted.

The daily audience of the Proza.ru portal is about 100 thousand visitors, who in total view more than half a million pages according to the traffic counter, which is located to the right of this text. Each column contains two numbers: the number of views and the number of visitors.

Deneb (Deneb), Deneb Adige (Deneb Adige), Aridif (Aridif), Arided (Arided)
1. Deneb, from the Arabic ad-danab - "tail"; Deneb Adige, from Arabic danab dajaja - "tail of a chicken"; Aridif, comes from the Arabic "bright, light"
Fixed star, 50 alpha Cygni. Apparent stellar magnitude 1.25m. Absolute magnitude M=-7.5. Spectral class A2 Ia. Double star: satellite 11.7m is located at an angular distance of 75.4 "from the main star. The distance from Deneb to the Sun is 250 pc. Luminosity is 70000 luminosities of the Sun. Astronomical position for epoch 2000.0: AR=20h41m25.9s; D=+45°16"49 "; Long= 335°19"43"; Lat=+59°54"22". In the figure, the constellation Deneb is usually placed at the tail of Cygnus.
According to the observations of Ebertin and Hoffman, Deneb favors artistic and scientific activities, moreover, profitable and profitable. It is found in the cards of famous artists, artists, writers, scientists, to whom their studies have brought considerable income.
Rigor points out that Deneb gives a living mind, certain psychic abilities. A person who has this star manifested in his horoscope is an idealist, very smart, attractive.
According to P. Globa, Deneb, associated with Uranus, Mercury and the Sun, gives ease in achieving goals, independence, moments of insight, transformation; mobile mind, fresh perception and creative imagination, eloquence. Promotes scientists and inventors, gives fortune in connections and acquaintances. A person with Deneb manifested in the horoscope has many friends, everyone strives to render him a service, help. Deneb gives happiness in travel (with the appropriate aspect). In conjunction with Venus - charm, charm, success with the opposite sex. In conjunction with Mars - good luck in all new endeavors, if they are brilliant.
In the theory of systemic interpretation of stars by D. Kutalev, Deneb, as the alpha of the constellation, is associated with the element of Fire at the lowest level of manifestation, and as an A2 class star, it is associated with the Moon. According to this theory, Deneb means active emotional involvement in interaction with other people, active intellect, the desire to know the laws of the world in order to bring concrete benefits to humanity and to benefit yourself. In the negative version - a superficial interest in various problems, dispersion and disorder in life. A distance of 250 pc shows that the interest in knowledge in its depths is still not utilitarian.

2. Fixed star, 17 Zeta Eagle. Apparent magnitude 2.99m. Spectral type A0 V. Triple star: two main components 3.0m and 12.0m are 6.5" apart. Astronomical position for epoch 2000.0: AR=19h05m24.6s; D=+13°51"49"; Long= 289 ° 47 "44"; Lat = + 36 ° 11 "08". In the figure of the constellation Deneb is in the tail of the Eagle. Hellenistic astrologers (from the middle of the 2nd century) attributed this star to the constellation Antinous. The constellation Eagle
Sometimes this star is called the same as the Eagle Delta - Deneb Okab. According to the tradition coming from Ptolemy, Deneb has the nature of Mars and Jupiter. Devor notes that Deneb indicates benevolence and tolerance; management skills and military success.
Rigor believes that Deneb brings the native the ability to command, free thinking, success, and points out that in well-balanced horoscopes Deneb is a favorable star.
In the Avestan tradition, Deneb, whose servants are Mercury, Jupiter and Uranus, is the star of scientists, discoverers, but, unfortunately, loners who often cut the branch on which they sit. These are losers in life, successful only in science or in one chosen business. It is important for them to find their path, and they, as a rule, find it. Deneb in conjunction with the Moon or Mercury - childlessness or failure with children. In women, a star, as a rule, promises late or difficult childbirth. On the cusp of the VIII house of the horoscope - a catastrophe, plane crashes or catastrophes on a stolen car are especially likely.
In D.Kutalev's theory of systemic interpretation of stars, Deneb, as the zeta of the constellation, correlates with the elements of the Earth at the second level of manifestation, and as an A0 class star, it is associated with the Moon and Saturn. Deneb means a great sense of individuality, self-control, pride in one's position (or striving to achieve a position worthy of pride). A person can be unsociable, self-willed, prone to criticism and cruelty.
