Soon the Inquisition was dissolved. Many sighed more calmly when the unpredictable organization ceased to be an eyesore.
Others fondly remembered the good deeds of the Inquisition and all those it had saved. The soldiers and workers went home, knowing that they had saved Thedas from a great evil...
...and hoping that the peace we have suffered will continue in the absence of the Inquisition.
If the Inquisition was taken over by the High Priestess
In the year that followed, the Inquisition systematically curtailed its activities here and there.
Shrinking to a reasonable size, it became the High Priestess' Guard and the peacekeeping corps.
Many fighters and workers went home, but many remained - and they were enough to hold off the opponents of the High Priestess.
