The topic “Youth and the Library” is relevant and painful. In order to retain or attract young readers to the library, the library must change, find new forms of contact with young people. And everyone wants to know how. Therefore, the hall was full and was ready to "take prescription medicine."
The head of the Department of Culture of the Administration of Chelyabinsk, Viktor Alexandrovich Ereklintsev, noted the success of libraries in conditions of limited resources, promised to expand the network of libraries and noted the Chelyabinsk Reading Book and Reading Festival, the idea of which was “born” in our Pushkin Library as being in demand and loved by residents.
And our director - the director of the MKUK CBS of Chelyabinsk - Svetlana Viktorovna Anishchenko thanked the organizers of the School of ChGAKI and CHOYUB for accepting our proposal to hold the School in Chelyabinsk.

The work of the school was started by Irina Yurievna Matveeva, Head. the Department of Library and Information Activities of ChGAKI, which clearly outlined innovative models of library services for young people and provided guidelines for choosing the most appropriate library model.
Lesya Vasilievna Sokolskaya, associate professor of ChGAKI, generously shared ideas of informational and non-informational occasions, suggestions of what could attract to the library. In 2007, for the first time in its history, the School changed its base. The 7th School was held in Tomsk, a major scientific and cultural center of Siberia. Thanks to geographic location Tomsk, specialists from this and neighboring regions of Siberia, who had almost never participated in the work of the Belgorod School, got the opportunity to take part in the work of the School.
Since 2007, it has been decided that the School of Library Innovation will be held alternately in Belgorod and Tomsk. Thus, Belgorod and Tomsk were able to cover almost the entire territory of the country, optimizing the opportunities and means for the transfer and exchange of innovative library experience.
Training in VIIIAll-Russian School of Library Innovation, which took place in October 2008, took place in the format of a creative laboratory on the topic "Model Library as an innovative structure for library and information support in the village." This topic is relevant both for the Belgorod region and for other regions of Russia. The first model libraries appeared in the Belgorod region in 2002. At the moment, more than 20% of rural libraries in the region are model ones. The accumulated experience of activity is of interest both for the territories that are at the beginning of the path to create model libraries, and for those regions where the process of organizing model libraries already has certain results. Therefore, the purpose of the creative laboratory was to summarize the experience of model libraries and determine the prospects for their development.

Within the framework of the School, in the format of a library colloquium “Innovations in the library: from theory to practice, from practice to a “successful” library”, the theoretical and practical experience of the School was summarized in order to improve its educational concept, strategic, methodological and organizational components.

The participants of the School visited Korochansky, Belgorodsky, Yakovlevsky districts, got acquainted with the experience of 8 model libraries.
Thus, the School is a large-scale educational project with great potential. Over the years of its 10-year existence, it has certainly made a great contribution not only to the professional development of library personnel, but also contributed to the introduction of new professional technologies in all functional areas of library activity, thereby contributing to the innovative transformation of the industry as a whole.

Educational events of the School were held from 4 to 8 October. Specialists of the Centralized Library System of Pskov (First Deputy Director of the Central Library of Pskov Koroleva I.S. and Head of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies of the Central City Library of Pskov Burova N.G.) took part in the XIV All-Russian School of Library Innovation, which was held in Belgorod from 12 to 17 October.

The theme of the school is relevant, changes every year and corresponds to the challenges of the time. In 2015, the theme of the XIV school is "The multifunctionality of the modern library: Year of Literature - Model Standard - NEL". More than 90 employees of libraries of all levels - from federal to rural, from different cities and regions of Russia - YaNAO, Omsk, Belgorod, Lugansk regions, Orel, Tambov, Kursk, Salekhard, Nadym, Novy Urengoy, etc. became participants of the school.

In her report “All roads lead to people, or the Year of Literature in Pskov libraries as the quintessence of technologies for promoting books, reading and libraries”, Irina Koroleva, using the example of successful practices, demonstrated the radical transformation of the traditional image of the library that is currently taking place. The Year of Literature made it possible to build harmonious relations with Pskov readers and prove that it is not difficult for a modern librarian to combine various technologies and innovations, she stressed. Such synthesis is an integral part of the formation of Library 3.0, when the user has an active life position, aspiration and creativity, being an integral participant in the process of creating a service and library brand for himself.
The students of the School were presented with new projects of Pskov libraries in 2015. For example, the all-Russian action library night “Russian Renaissance. The Silver Age in Diaries” is a special project that laid the foundation for the birth of Library 3.0 and was organized by the Forzats youth group under the competent “supervision” of specialists from the Central City Library - Tatyana Likhomanova, head of the service department, and Tatyana Kotova, head of the department of social and cultural programs.
This library Internet project can be seen as a modest contribution to the creation of positive content for young Internet users, which is generally in line with one of the key ideas of the EU development strategy for the development of a better Internet for children, adopted in 2012.
Library staff in Pskov already have experience in creating and promoting positive online content for children. So, Burova N.G. is the editor of the children's local history site "Know your native land", created as part of the project of the same name, implemented in city libraries in 2013-14. The site, which is a virtual tour of Pskov and the Pskov region for junior schoolchildren, in 2014 he took part in the All-Russian competition "Positive Content", entered the white list and received a diploma of the finalist of the competition.
The main principle that guided the Pskov library staff when creating materials for the site “Reading new books in a new way” is to tell a modern child about a book online and make it interesting and exciting. Telling children and teenagers about new authors and books-winners of literary awards, librarians used interactive game forms work with text. Word clouds, book trailers, presentations, quizzes, puzzles, puzzles, crossword puzzles, puzzles, entertaining puzzles were designed to make the child's acquaintance with the book and its further understanding interesting and useful.
Another principle that was taken as a starting point in the work on the site is that wisely using Internet technologies, it is possible not only to attract a child to a book, but also to make the reading process itself more exciting and deep.
The result of the work on the site was the involvement of creative readers in the creation of a multimedia product - interactive posters / reader diaries based on the books read, which give an idea of the modern children's reading and talk about their favorite children's authors.
It is gratifying to note that our interactive site was noticed and appreciated by our teachers - organizers of the interregional project "NEXT Generation Bookcase", and reader diaries, created by our readers in the ThingLink service, were included in the long list and short list of the contest.
One of the days of the school was dedicated to the Belgorod Universal Scientific Library, on the basis of which the scientific and practical conference "BGUNB: priorities of the present, strategy of the future" was held.
The conference was opened by N.P. Rozhkova, Director of BGUNB, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation.
